6 months down and 6 to go!
It’s the time of year when many of us take stock of how far we have come and where we are going from here.
Here in Australia, it’s the end of the financial year, so it’s a time of figuratively and maybe literally drawing a line under one year and starting another, and we can’t help but judge what those figures say about our endeavours – at least in the financial sense.
So what better stimulus, then this, to take stock of where we are with speaking to grow our brand?
To advance in a career, to advance in the workplace, to succeed in the job search market, to grow a business, attract clients, make sales, we need to make ourselves visible,
have our voice heard,
have the people who matter hear, see and know that we are the ones that they can turn to in time of need
that we have the answers or can find the answers or can deliver the answers.
And there are opportunities everywhere to do that.
Maybe you know that already, and just need to tweak your strategy a little.
Maybe you know that and yet never seem to be able to take advantage of those opportunities,
to speak up, make presentations, answer questions so that people know who you are and what you offer.
You can imagine what it feels like to speak confidently, fluently and effectively

to feel the glow of connection, influence, with authenticity – the glow of communicating within your own values and integrity.

the confidence to say it
and how to be open to the opportunities
in any situation.
In all of my years of experience of running workshops, mentoring and coaching speakers, I have developed a set of skills that have served me well in creating success in those fields, though I have since had to articulate them, because I never followed anyone else’s rules, just adjusted my actions to what worked,
and in all my years of reading, studying and synthesizing an inordinate number of views on speaking, storytelling and branding, I have absorbed the theories and strategies that are available.
If you haven’t been seeing much of me lately offering courses, then it’s because I have been doing much of that absorbing, synthesizing and connecting dots so that I can articulate the theory behind the practical experience that I have
to keep what fits into my beliefs and values and experiences, winnow out what feels fake and manipulative and needy.
